This policy explains, in plain language, what Cardo collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Cardo is a marketplace to buy, sell, and trade collector cards.
Account information: your email address and the display name you choose when you set up your profile.
Card photos and listings: photos you upload of your cards, plus the details you enter (price, condition, category, shipping region, trade preferences).
Messages and offers: the text of direct messages and offers you send to other members, and your public activity such as likes, favorites, follows, and community posts.
Profile details: your bio, interests, wishlist, location, and avatar if you choose to add them.
To run the marketplace: show your listings, process likes, favorites, offers, and trades, and connect you with buyers and sellers.
To communicate: send you notifications and emails about your listings, sales, offers, and price-drop alerts (you can control these in Settings).
To build community: show your public profile, activity, and collections to other members, and help collectors find each other nearby.
To keep Cardo safe: review listings and photos for prohibited content, and investigate reports of misuse.
All payments on Cardo are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. Cardo never sees, receives, or stores your full card number or banking details.
When you make a purchase, Stripe handles the transaction directly. Cardo receives only a confirmation that the payment succeeded and the shipping address you provide at checkout so the seller can ship your item.
Cardo charges a 3% transaction fee on completed sales, which is calculated from the sale price.
You retain ownership of the photos you upload. By listing a card, you give Cardo permission to display your photos and listing details within the marketplace so other members can find and buy or trade with you.
Only upload photos you took yourself or have the rights to use.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. Your listings and photos remain while your account is open or until you delete them.
Completed transactions are kept so buyers and sellers have a record. If you delete your account, your personal data (profile, listings, collection, messages, and activity) is removed; orders you completed with other members are retained for their records with your name replaced by “Deleted user.”
Cardo is a marketplace, so the listings, public profile, and activity you create are visible to other members. Your private data (email, private messages, account details) is not shown publicly.
We share data with Stripe solely to process payments, and with our email provider to deliver notifications you’ve opted into. We do not sell your personal information.
You can edit your profile, adjust notification and privacy preferences, or sign out at any time from Settings.
You can delete your account permanently from Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes your profile, listings, collection, offers, messages, and activity from Cardo.
You can request a copy of your data or ask us to correct inaccurate information through the in-app Help form.
We use Stripe for payments and protect account access with authentication. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and never store your full card details.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the revised policy on this page.
Questions or requests? Use the in-app Help form — go to Help → Contact support and we’ll get back to you.
